Design historian Daniella Ohad received her Ph.D. degree from the Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts, Design and Culture. For the past two decades, she has been committed to education in design history, theory, taste, and the decorative arts. She has been a faculty member at the Department of Architecture, Interior Design, and Lighting of Parsons the New School for Design since 2000, and has taught at Pratt Institute, School of Visual Art, and Bard College; she currently teaches at the New York School of Interior Design. Dr. Ohad has conducted public lectures, interviews on stage, conferences, videos, and has published in scientific journals, magazines, and in her popular blog Daniella on Design. As an art adviser, she has assembled distinctive private collections of 20th-century furniture and decorative arts; as a tastemaker, she is responsible for elevating the taste of her audience; as a curator, she participates in several acquisition committees of major New York City museums.
